Our dr surgery is closing

And all 6,500 patients are being transferred to the only other dr surgery in our town. Both surgeries are struggling with the massive increase in housing in the town and there is a 2 month waiting list for a routine appointment at our surgery as it is. Has anyone else experienced this?

One closed near me and my husband just got transferred to another surgery. Worked out well for him, but all GPs seems to be struggling everywhere, there just aren't enough of them

Thank you. Did he find it harder to get an appointment at the new surgery or about the same? Thankfully we don't need GP appointments very often but me, dh and one of our sons have repeat prescriptions.

Are you in west Somerset? If so, I used to be at your surgery. I don’t know how the other one will cope.
