2 year old hayfever?

i have noticed the last few days that my son keeps rubbing at his eyes and his face, im wondering if he could have a bit of hayfever? But he doesn’t have a runny nose so I’m not sure. Has anyone else’s 2 year old suffered with hayfever and what were their symptoms?

Yes it can easily be hayfever. Symptoms vary, runny nose not obligatory. A pharmacy can advise age appropriate antihistamine - piriton or possibly piriteze, as this is non-drowsy. Look online for advice on how to reduce exposure to pollen.

My youngest gets hayfever occasionally, she gets itchy, watery eyes and a runny nose. We use children’s Piriton but half the recommended dose because it does make her sleepy

Just turned 4. We’ve been using Piriton since she was about 2.5, works really well for the hayfever symptom but does cause mild drowsiness, that’s why we give half a dose or the dose for the age range below
