Currently having a bout of COVID honestly I've had Flu and COVID several times but this was something else I had a raging fever lasting just short of 48 hours honestly thought I was going to have to take myself to A n E. Popped a ton of tablets but was still so poorly. Anyone else? My son had it B4 me who's 11 and his was just a mild cold and v mild fever, jealous but so glad he didn't have to experience this honestly thought I was dying.

Yes, covid is still around and its still awful. I was ill for 6 months when I had it last year. It can leave you with heart problems and immune system damage. The more infections you have, the higher your likelihood of having long covid as well. I got it after one infection and am dreading another. I already have M.E. My husband was fine after 3 days. I don't know anyone who had it as bad as I did.

There's not much you can do except rest and wait for it to pass. Take paracetamol, try to eat well, rest, and drink a lot of fluids. Hope you feel better soon.

I've got this version of covid and it's a beast. I'm 63 in general good health and this has floored me. started with a high temperature, I cant stop sleeping and walking from one room to another just wears me out. Hoping you get better soon OP

Me. Had it 2 weeks ago and had to cancel our flights. Tbf I wasn’t as bad as the the previous 3 times I’ve had it (Got LC in 2020 for 2 years), but was still ill. 5 of my colleagues caught it too and all off work.

Yes, we've just had a bout of it, recirculating in the office.

I didn't get a fever but I was so tired I was sleeping from 9pm to 7am. Just coming out of it now.
