If you have school age kids?

Are you ready to chuck them in the bin yet?
We are into our 4th week and it's been surprisingly stress free.
Family coming from abroad this weekend to stay, so it's been busy, getting the house sorted.
We've had one holiday already, with another (with family) in just over 2 weeks time.
Back home for a week then school starts on 4th September.
DCs have been in and out with friends too, it's nice at secondary school age, they can come and go as they please, and are cycle proficient so can get themselves out and about.
Either DH or I are WFH so always one of us around.

(I fully appreciate this is not the case for everyone and school holidays can be an absolute logistical nightmare, as it was here when DCs were younger)

Mine are all at secondary school and enjoy the school holidays now. We have been away, they will make their own plans with friends and I try to do so something with them each week. I WFH which also helps. Being honest, I hated the holidays when they were small (I worked in a school so was also off). It was relentless trying to amuse them and stop the constant squabbling. We still have our moments but it is lovely to have a break from the school routine.
