Follow if you like. It makes no difference to the 8 year olds who thankfully can no longer stumble across disgusting stuff.

It's not about eight year olds accessing disgusting stuff, it's about censorship, which is already happening.

it wont prevent stumbling, as not all sites are abiding by the law. Parents of 8 year olds should be doing the exact same pre and post law, which is very strict restrictions on devices and being supervised

The Online Safety Act is an assault on freedom https://share.google/kpIC9fPH1ll1GucRB

Concerned about what's happening in the country? Want to discuss legitimate worries, politics, criticise the government? None of that will be tolerated anymore. Get back to paying tax and watching rubbish on television.

I find it ironic you post about freedoms with a link to the biggest data slurping operation this side of the Milky Way.

Well that's the price you pay for having access to the internet. It's still nice to be able to actually access it though as opposed to the government deciding what you can and cannot do. Actually, Google do restrict you too, but there are other search engines to use.

Identity fraud will be soaring too. Due to this Online Safety Act various sites require age verification, i.e. personal details.

From that perspective a VPN does not sound like a bad shout.
