Mach Loop - Fast Jets

Sad I know but I'm absolutely in awe of aviation - not knowing the names and who, what's, where's and when's but just the miracle of flight. Went to RIAT this year and it appears my 9 YO DD may have picked up "The bug" - especially when it comes to the fast jets (😁), I would love to know any hints or tips for a successful Mach Loop trip with a small person... I'm well aware it's an unpredictable timetable but would love to know any view points etc. We are Bristol way so not the end of the world if we don't get a successful viewing

You Tube is your friend. Plenty on there. Flights aren't regular so you might see nothing or you might get lucky and see a parade of aircraft. Note that if the weather is bad you are on a cold wet hillside, no shelter or toilets. Some the airbases like Fairford have spotters there so you might see some planes there.

Thank you, so I've watched a few YouTube videos but they don't really explain parking and length of walk etc. Quite happy for a damp wet hillside with no toilets etc. (Have a VERY outdoor hobby)

There are lots of tik toks of the Mach loop. Pretty sure you would find one with directions etc

I'd love to see the jets. Mach Loop popped up in my youtube suggestions a few months ago. It's all the little houses and farms underneath that I wonder about, what do the sheep think about it? It looks like amazing views even if the jets don't appear.

I'm sure the bloke who films it has a caravan at the bottom.

what you need to know re locations. As for scheduling, that’s more of a mystery!

as a general rule I’d recommend Monday - Thursday mid morning or afternoon as the military often seem to have half day on Friday, I’ve asked my contact and been told they don’t know far in advance, perhaps day before, sorry not helpful.
