Commercialising a game

Posting for traffic!

I have an idea for a simple bingo (or even drinking) game based on a TV show.
Does anyone have any experience on how to try to commercialise something like this?

If it’s dependent on a particular show and woukd need to mention the show/character or other specific features then it would need to be licensed by the owner of the IP. Which is a long and extremely difficult (and possibly very expensive) road.
