Neff, AEG or Bosch Oven

Replacing my 20+ year old built in double oven. Family of 4 and use the oven nearly every day.

Quite like the look of an AEG that has a fan oven for both the top and bottom ovens. Also considering a single main oven and a combi oven/microwave on top.

will be replacing the whole kitchen at some point in the next couple of years but oven is buggered so need something now and would rather get something that will last rather than a cheapie interim one.

So, what have you got? Do you love it? Best features to look for? Any gripes? Thank you

Belling, lasts for years.

BIWI · 26/07/2025 17:12

I have 2 Neff ovens, one of which is a combi/microwave. The main oven has the ‘hide and slide’ door, which I love. (Just wish the combi one had that too)

I have exactly the same set up as @BIWI
Absolutely love them.

Had my Neff double oven for 20 years, it’s brilliant. I’d definitely get another when it’s time to get a new one.

Same as Biwi, combi oven plus slide and hide main oven. Unusually we have the main oven above the combi so it's easier to see when I am baking.
Space is narrow so I would have the slide and hide every time.

Ive had neff and bosch (currently on neff hide and slide and combination in new build). My last neff the switches covers peeled off, doesn't matter now as no switches. Given choice i would go for Bosch or AEG (which my friend had).

Out of the 3 ovens we’ve had, they were all neff. 1st brilliant hence the second. 2nd had a fault that we ended up having to change the main oven bulb every year or it would short and blow the mother (effing) board. Had to get insurance out on it and then worked out it would be cheaper overall to buy a new neff oven (neff because it matched the hob and hood!!!! This one has been fine but don’t accidentally grill a whole chicken instead of fan ovening, the element will sag meaning it’s difficult to use the top shelf!!

Neff and Bosch are made by the same company if that helps.

It needs to be a double oven I think as I’m reusing the oven housing and currently have a double.

thinking that once we get the new kitchen then I’ll reuse the new oven and get a built in microwave to stack above.
