I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot. The kittens have been fed & gone back to bed, and both girls are awake but not been down yet. I'll shift in a minute and put the washer on.
I'm currently sitting about waiting for the contractor my landlord insisted needed to come at 8am on Saturday morning to investigate the problem, carry out the necessary repairs, treat the walls below, and repaint them to an acceptable standard. All between 8-12noon 🤔. Impressive, eh?
They'll not have time to do much if/when they do turn up - they're not having longer than was demanded. They'll just have to come back at a reasonable time (I'm not being a dick - I offered literally any working day unless I have an appointment, since I'm on summer holidays from work, & was told that isn't enough time it has to be 8-12 today 🤷♀️. Not sure about the logic there). There'll be no time at this rate.
This afternoon, we're going for birthday cards for the girls' dad and work boots/shoes for dd1. Then home. To sit down, and do nothing! I need to think of something easy for tea at some point.
After tea, it'll be early shower and early night for me. I'm knackered after a fun, but long, day out in York with dd2 yesterday.
