I've introduced DP to Lidl

🤣

I call him DP because I'm too old for a BF and what else is an exclusive grown up, but casual relationship called?

He's lived alone most of his life and doesn't really do a "shop" for food. He'll either eat out at work or with friends, get a take away or pop into M&S on his way home for what he needs that evening.

Lidl is the closest supermarket to where I live . When he's here I often cook (which I enjoy) and he'll pick up drinks and desert or fruit, or bring/make accompaniments.

Every time he goes to Lidl he comes back raving about how little he's spent and (recently) how cheap their fake Magnums are...and they're bigger...and nicer...than real Magnums.

He also thinks their non alcoholic lager is the best on the market!

Watch out-you’ll get a diving helmet for your birthday….

From what planet is he? I'm a Lidl girl, you can't miss that shop.

Has he been introduced to the centre aisle of shite yet?

I go there for organic eggs, European cheeses, smoothies, responsibly sourced chocolate and recycling bin bags. From the top of my head. Who's next?

TBH I do almost all of my shopping there. Agree about the cheese. I find most of their own brand stuff much better than the mainstream own brands. Not sure about M&S, which I accept is generally good, but expensive.
