Accidentally took too much citalopram

ok so stupidly I’ve managed to take 80ng of Citalopram - instead of just one for my 40mg- forgot I took one 15 mins before!

how serious is this? I am reading conflicting things online … anyone?!

You will be fine. At one point I was on 80mg daily. Try not to worry.

Its fine. Lots of people will be on that as their prescribed dosage

Thank you- although I believed 40mg was max allowable now ? As any more was apparently dangerous?
