Roller skating

As a teenager I did roller skating and was quite good at it. However when I was a teenager the only skates around were the ones you striped to your shoes. Now you use boot skates which are heavier. I haven't skated in about30 years and want to start again. How easy is it now that I will have to use modern type skates?I used to be able to skate long distances on the old fashioned skates without falling over.

You'll be fine in rollerboots if you can stay upright on skates.

You'll be absolutely fine. I took up roller skating again in my mid 40s. Just remember to bend your knees and relax your shoulders. Skates like moxi are not that heavy but the front of your calves will probably hurt the first time. Just stretch it off.

I was good at skating when I was 18 but those were using lightweight old fashioned skates. I would have to learn again how to balance on boot skates and I'm much older and not as supple. For instance I could do a handstand up against a wall at school. I could not do it now
