New cordless vacuum recommendations

borrowing thread. I am on my second shark cordless vacuum in 5 years. The motor is going and it will cost to fix. Same happened with my last shark.

any recommendations on a new cordless vacuum. Downstairs is wood and upstairs carpet. I have a long hair cat. Ideally under £200.

looking at gtex. Had a Dyson and it was great, but expensive. Also only lasted few years.

any underrated brands out there?

Our Dyson v8 I’ve tolerated for 5+ years but it’s pretty crap for corners and edges and also frequently gives me pinch blood blisters for how the stick attaches.

can’t believe I’ve put up with it as long as I have to be honest. I’m liking the sound of the one upthread (brand I haven’t heard if) but for corners/edges
