DLA RENEWAL HELP

Good morning,

I’ll try and keep it short and sweet.
My daughter’s renewal deadline is tomorrow (25.7.25) I called them earlier in the week for an update and they said a decision maker was yet to look at it and to call back tomorrow. Now I’ve checked my bank this morning and there’s is a payment of £437.20 showing in my bank due tomorrow from DWP with a different reference number under it. Does this mean we’ve been awarded and given different rates this time around?!
They did say I’d still be entitled to pay from my last payment date which was the 14th July until the deadline date and obviously that’s not £400 when we were only getting £300 and something before!

please help me ease my anxiety!

Is the new amount a change in rate perhaps?

x2boys · 24/07/2025 07:53

Honestly I wouldn't want to second guess phone them as soon as the lines open and ask them you should get through first thing.

Firsttimetobe2019 · 24/07/2025 08:37

I really hope it is a change in rate. I just can’t work it out with the online standard rates, my maths isn’t mathing. I’ll wait for phone lines to open. Really don’t want to be disappointed! Seen nothing but negativity around renewals and it scares me as this is our first renewal!

Could be a change of rate or they've paid a random no of weeks inc a few extra days.

Happened to us with DS renewal, but it went back to normal. There was no way I was expecting him to get anymore than he was on as he didnt quality for any more points. (Already on HRC/LRM)

Either ring them or the letter should arrive in the next few days.

Congratulations! You've made it to the other side of this renewal.

I called them up 9am sharp! We got our renewal!
now middle rate care and low rate mobility!

Really really pleased, she’s now on that until 2031! The stress those forms cause is unreal 😂🤦🏽‍♀️

The payment is owed mobility rate I believe she said on the phone!

Well that's a relief have they said how long the award is for?

x2boys · 24/07/2025 13:11
