Is anyone else on here also really broken up by the news? I know it’s been done to death about celebrities dying and people overreacting. I guess this post is more focused towards the alternatives like me on Mumsnet. This is a huge loss.
People will likely focus on his many faults, but no one can deny his influence and effect on music spanning decades. I haven’t cried so much since Chester Bennington’s death was announced. We’ve just lost an icon.
I guess Satan had better move the fuck over.

I'm extremely sad and I'm watching a tribute right now.
The man went out in a blaze of glory having had a triumphant last concert that raised almost 2 million for charity and that's some legacy.

He spawned a whole music genre and had a family that adored him.

I'm sorry he's gone but glad he didn't last years getting increasingly frail. RIP Prince of Darkness

I feel exactly the same and you’ve put it more succinctly than I could have managed, thank you.

Yes, I’m sad about his passing, Ozzy was one of a kind. Another legend lost.

LuxuryWoman2020 · 23/07/2025 00:39

I meant 200 million of course. Amazing!

Ah I hadn’t heard the news. That’s sad for his children x

We went to the Back to the beginning concert. He looked so happy. It was so heartwarming. I'm so glad he was able to do it. He is at peace now that he was able to fulfil his last wish. He was adorable.

Yes, he did bad things whilst under the influence. Addiction is a disease. But he pulled himself around and he loved his family more than life itself.
