Just that really - coming in September for my DD 17th birthday and thought it might be nice to stay over somewhere close. Can anyone recommend anywhere?

The ibis in Stratford is very close - basic but clean and comfortable.

It doesn’t finish late so you will have plenty of time to get anywhere really. Is there somewhere you are happier staying ? Not a huge amount of stuff going on around that area. (Aprt from the shopping center )

Yes it finishes before 10pm so you can easily stay in central London. We stayed in the containers next door but I wouldn't recommend it - Snoozebox.

The nearest place to eat is Westfield shopping centre - loads of restaurants.

we stayed in The Westbury, just down from Westfield, however, I’d recommend you stay elsewhere - Stratford is a total shithole.

If you don't want anywhere fancy the Premier Inn Canning Town could be good. 20 minutes door to door on the Jubilee Line and DLR, changing at Stratford. You can see the hotel when you come out of the station.

We stayed in The Stratford which was really nice and it's right beside Westfield. Never felt dodgy around that part, and it's only a very short trip on the DLR to ABBA Voyage.

We stayed in the converted shipping containers next door to the venue
Snoozebox

Basic but clean, next door to the venue and bars & restaurants nearby.

Wouldn’t stay for more than 1 night though!

We stayed at the Travelodge London Stratford - walking distance to the venue, good value, good breakfast.

Thanks all - some good options. I went last year and seem to remember there was nowhere to eat around there so ahh staying in another part of London is an idea. We're actually going to the matinee so we could go into Westfield after for food - does anyone know how far the walk is?

@Excitedannie It's about 20 mins walk through the Olympic park. I loved going, I'd want to go again if I could.

Last time I stayed at the Premier Inn Hub in Brick Lane which isn't too far by transport. I like the area, it's convenient for access to central London and usually fairly affordable. The Hub rooms are really nice for one person but a bit cosy for two, if you get a room each that's better.

@Excitedannie , Stratford Westfield is 1 stop on the DLR from Pudding Mill Lane. Check the West Ham home fixtures as they play at London Stadium next to Abba Voyage.

mum2jakie · 28/12/2025 19:00

Going next year and we are considering staying in Greenwich so there is more to do in the area. Seems as though it would be easy to travel there and back on the DLR. Anybody else done this for Abba Voyage?

dicdicnurse · 28/12/2025 19:03

We stayed in the Premier Inn at Westfield Stratford. Cheap and cheerful, fantastic location for abba and shopping.
