Ideally fly from Bournemouth
Family holiday kids will be 5 and 7 at the time
Not a long transfer ideally
All-inclusive is a must
Water slides / park also a must.
Mid June 2026.

3500 budget but maybe a bit flexible

We got stranded somewhere last year because of the weather. Jet 2 reps were all over departures, finding their customers, making sure they were ok. TUI were nowhere to be seen, and when we asked where they were they told us they are not allowed through security (but Jet 2 were?!). By the time TUI got themselves organised hours had passed and there were only awful hotels left for us to be put into for the night (I’m not being a snob; they literally ran out of food and the rooms stank). We said we’d never go TUI again after that experience, Jet 2 seem to be worth the extra money when there are problems!

I like Jet2 because it’s all in the price - 22k luggage, transfers etc - and it shows you the best price if you are flexible with departure days etc

only add ons are seat selection (I travel alone so not an issue) and food on the flight

We went Jet2 to Gran Canaria. Not flown Tui but have done an EasyJet holiday to Cyprus which was also good.

abathofmilkwithladydi · 22/07/2025 21:57

Well.

Nothing beats a Jet 2 holiday........

FionnulaTheCooler · 22/07/2025 22:00

Not TUI. As a previous poster said, we also had an issue at the airport and the rep was about as much good as a chocolate teapot. They don't give a shit about you once they've had your money.

Tui (well Crystal, one of their subsidiaries(had amazing customer service for us when we had issues in 2021 and 2022, involving rearranging our whole holiday less than 48 hours before due to resort issues (government and weather related, not a fault of the company!)

On a Tui holiday currently. Id say find what hotel suits you.. all the companies have complaints.

Stella Palace in Crete is excellent.

The complex and pools are great. Food is top notch and there is a huge water park attached to the hotel.

Very family friendly. You won’t be disappointed.

We went with Jet2 and they were great. Both flights on time and transfer from Heraklion to resort was only about 25 mins.

Biscuitsneeded · 22/07/2025 22:18

Jet2. Have been on 4 holidays with them, no complaints. People are always moaning about Tui...

CaribbeanCupcake · 22/07/2025 22:20

Defo not TUI! As pp said once they have your money they don't give a shit! We had a terrible experience and they did not care... never again

whiteroseredrose · 22/07/2025 22:33

Interesting as a side comment. We flew Jet2 to Krakow and the return flight was heavily delayed due to weather. Jet2 were nowhere to be seen. We found out what was going on from Ryanair staff. Put me off them.

DamnitCarol · 22/07/2025 22:37

We like Jet2, but I’m currently looking for next year at a resort in Majorca and the exact same holiday is 1000 more with jet 2 than with easyJet holidays! So if you do find a resort you like it’s worth pricing it between all the travel operators to see who gives you the best deal.

SendTheNextOneIn · 23/07/2025 07:51

Look at Club Hotel Agumarina in Arenal d’en Castell on Menorca. We went last year with Jet2. Two hour flight, half hour transfer. The hotel has brilliant facilities for kids, a great kids splash pool, and the beach is on the doorstep and is just stunning.

Doireallywanttodothis · 23/07/2025 07:54

Jet2. Tui pissed as around for months during the pandemic and I said I’d never book with them again. Did against my better judgement last year and they cancelled our holiday with six weeks to go telling us to book something different when they’d all gone up significantly in price in the five months since we booked. Had a great experience with Jet2 after we got a refund and booked with them.

Going with TUI is fine if there are problems if you also fly with TUI. If the flight is outsourced, they have less responsibility when it comes to sorting it. A TUI holiday with a TUI flight will be fine if any issues come up.
