Dd15 ASD education

Just after a bit of advice. Dd15 is going into year 11 in September, so important GCSE year. She has not attended school since year 8 due to severe anxiety, low mood and diagnosed ASD. She was with medical needs for home tuition for a while why we were going through the ehcp process. Finally was all sorted and local authority authorised 5 hours face to face home tuition (no point was I told this was temporary) she will be sitting english language, maths and combined science GCSE's (she Sat English Literature this year). After May half term she was given her new tutors (one for science and maths and one for English) they are absolutely amazing - especially her science and maths tutor - I am more than confident they will help dd through her GCSE's. Dd saw a clinical psychologist at camhs for a few years however very recently was signed off. We're in a really good place , still challenges and she needs a lot of support but I know her limits and confident with how to help her. A huge reason dd was so down is because she felt like she couldn't do normal things other children her age could - particularly going to school and learning. It has been a huge help for her to realise there are options for learning that suit her better.

Anyway, last Wednesday I had an email from our ehcp Co ordinator to say the panel have decided to offer an online package from September. This will absolutely not work. We trialled online when she initially started school refusal. She would become so overwhelmed she would just log off. She struggles as it is with communication but to put a screen in between that makes it impossible for her. She can't even talk on the phone to me. I emailed back straight away to ask how to appeal and explained all the reasons it would not work. I had no reply, so again on Thursday I emailed again, no reply. Friday I emailed again and said as I have had no response can you direct me to someone who can respond. Finally had a response and they said they could not reply as they needed to wait themselves for more information. I replied again asking to be directed to someone else who can respond. They replied and said they would let the ehc team lead know I wanted to be contacted (I did not trust she would do this - there has been many times in the past she has failed to communicate- for example in dds ehcp she is also meant to have a weekly therapy session at a farm - this has NEVER happened as Co ordinator just hasn't done it) anyway I replied and asked for the leads email - no reply. Managed to find out myself who it was and copied her into email chain and sent separate one explaining again I wanted to appeal and explained the reasons online will not work for dd. I got a generic response about how online can offer a broader curriculum than her current face to face package and online has helped many children. No information how to appeal.

It literally does not matter it could offer a broader curriculum- dd will not be able to access it! I have replied to this and asked for a face to face meeting to rectify decision - no response yet. I just wanted opinions how to go about this now. Dd will absolutely not engage with this, I can't put her in the position again. She got so distressed, she was really coming on well in her lessons and actually starting to talk to her tutors and just seemed so much more happier.
