I have two friends in my life that lie massively friend a is a childhood friend and friend b I haven’t known as long. They both lie and contradict themselves and it’s really bothering me. I’ve phased them out as much as I can. I just don’t get why they do it one of them moved further away so the lying has ramped up. She had a boyfriend who I met and seemed lovely but she confided in me that he was t nice to her. I genuinely felt awful for her and offered so much advice and help but know wonder if it was all made up as nothing she’s said has been true. It’s really put me off making and trusting new friends. I don’t understand why people do it.
