We did a Eurocamp last year - we drove to Annecy. It was a bungalow with a kitchen, lounge area, deck and BBQ. There was a great pool, restaurant, shops, bike hire etc.

There is also Yelloh Villages - campsites with pools and bungalows / chalets

Dead easy to use

We love Eurocamp - kids are 13 and 11. We have stayed at 3 this year. Lots of variety so you can get quieter sites and busier ones. We have never had a bad stay and have used them for the last 12 years. Admittedly we usually go at the beginning of the season and I think the caravans are at their most spotless then and the sites generally a bit quieter.
We tend to go Brittany and the Vendee, but this year went to Gironde and the Loire.
The busier sites some dislike as they feel the caravans are quite close to each other. There have been occasions where we have been sat on the decking having breakfast and you are a little close to the toilet of the van in front, but this is the most criticism I have.

My advice is to choose your area then have a good look around at the sites. ChatGPT was useful this year in helping us narrow down our search! Out in exactly our requirements and went from there.
Have fun looking 😀

I would really think about what it is you want from the holiday. For example, are water slides important to you? Teen clubs? Close to a town/beach etc? Entertainment? And then really do your research - they are all a little different from each other. It will be a very different type of holiday to all inclusive, not high end luxury but we’ve always loved these holidays.
I’d also say to go for the best/biggest type of caravan you can afford. The more expensive generally the more space you will have around your pitch.
There is a French brand called Sandaya that have some really nice parks but entertainment there is likely to be in French so not so great if you prefer English led entertainment for example.
