One little bite = a hundred itchy bits

Is it just me? I get one bite from a mosquito or whatever, and I then spend the next week itching all over.
I have one bite on my arm and have spent most of the day trying to ignore all the other body itches that have risen up in sympathy.
Am I just a sensitive little flower or does anyone else get this?

You are not alone!

I'm sure I read somewhere that midges have something in their bites that sends something round your blood stream to make this happen.

See also, scratching the one bite you have and 15 pop up overnight elsewhere on your body.

I hate midges. They are the most pointless things that evolved on this planet. What purpose do they even serve?

The pharmacist recommended anti-histamine/hay fever pills for the all over body itching and anthisan cream to put on the bite site. It does work.

I've also heard taking B12 supplements is supposed to make you less tasty to biting things but I can confirm this is a load of bollocks or I need to drink more Guinness Grin

Hot spoon on bite really works.
