Floor bed or normal single?

For an almost 3 year old.

Feel like I'm being taken in by all the sleek marketing for fancy handmade montessori style floor beds, when a normal £150 bed fram from Argos is probably fine?

If you want a floor bed are there cheaper ones available

Both of mine survived in ordinary beds. I didn't buy bed guards either. I used a duvet cover turned sideways and tucked in both sides, which DS wiggled down under.

Mine was about 2 when he outgrew the cot and went straight to a normal single. never had a problem.

Our Montessouri-style floor bed was only about £60 new.

Definitely a normal single at age. They’ll be fine getting in and out and it’ll last them until they either leave home or beg for a double! A guard will stop them falling out if that’s a concern. Floorbeds have their place for very young cot escapees that aren’t even 2 yet but I really wouldn’t bother otherwise as you’ll only need to replace it in a few years.
