Ds is moving into semi independent housing. He showed me pictures.it looks really nice. In one room he has his bed and mini kitchen. Hes not allowed a cooker. But it has a built in microwave. Im wondering if he would be allowed an air fryer.

In the next 6 months he has to show he can manage things . Room inspections once a week. No getting into rent arrears. Must manage food etc . Must also be able to know how to ask for help with mental health.

Visitors have to leave by 10pm

Im really happy for him. Fingers crossed he doesnt mess it up 🤞

You have to read his accommodation contract.
Dd's had a kettle toaster and microwave, but no oven.
The contract said no air fryers, candles, pets etc. She had a rice cooker and a sandwich maker.
This year she has a shared full kitchen and will take her rice cooker and air fryer and a microwave sandwich maker (Morphy Richards) and a smoothy maker.

I'm so pleased for you all. Wilf had a few near misses with cooking when smoke alarms went off so he has ready meals in his flat..

Could he have a plug in induction ring? You can get single or double ones in Ikea.

Im not sure. I will ask. Im thinking they don't have oven/cookers for safety reasons. So may be restrictions on other stuff . I will try and find out . I was thinking an air fryer maybe ok because they have a timer and turn them self off .
