Ozzy Osbourne display at the Birmingham Museum and art gallery as well as the Black Sabbath Bridge.

There's a free geology museum at the uni of Birmingham.

Think tank has science stuff for teens (but also lots of small kids).

There's also a formula 1 cafe and a VR place.

Further out Sarehole Mill was inspiration for Lord of the Rings.

For good value great food try Damascena near the cathedral.

All of the above available in abundance! Depends what you/they are into really, Bullring & Selfridges for all mainstream shops and restaurants, a wander down to Digbeth to the Custard factory for the more alternative minded, walking along the canals gives a totally different view of the city. The library is a fascinating building to visit. There will be multiple gigs on any given evening, as well as shows at the Hippodrome.
Personal faves for food are the Oyster Club, Ken Ho and Asha’s, Wilderness looks incredible but haven’t made it there yet.

Thank you both! A F1 cafe? I saw there was a F1 racing arcade…

There's also the Barber Institute at the uni of Birmingham and if you like stained glass the cathedral has stunning Burne Jones.

For shopping There's the Bull Ring and some cool vintage shops in Digbeth (my teen rates Cow and Lostalgia).

China town is also good for food. Simpson is amazing but also spendy and out of the centre.

There's usually some interesting stuff on at the city museum and art gallery and they have a great tea room/ restaurant.
Walks along the canal or walk out to the botanic gardens.
There's always some music stuff going on around Digbeth and gigs in small venues.

Plenty of gigs in Digbeth, my son is in a couple of bands and there's always something on. Rainbow, Muthas and Sunflower lounge usually have local live bands for a few quid.

Also just remembered ghetto golf in Digbeth if they're over 18.

For reasonably priced theatre try the Crescent in Brindley Place, the Old Joint Stock or the Blue Orange

Do you have transport? Because if so do get to the the Black Country Living Museum just outside Dudley. It’s bloody brilliant. Especially the fish and chips from Hobbs’ and Sons. And definitely do the Canal trip!

Theres a brilliant board game cafe in Digbeth called Chance Encounters, booking essential. Great food too. The Ikon Gallery is free and pretty cool. As others said the library and museum are great. Go up to the roof garden at the library for amazinf views. Teens might like the huge Primark if they're into that, or the Bullring for more expensive taste. There are some cool places in the Mailbox too and a great sushi place.

It is called the Formula 1 arcade, apologies

Seconding this, the Black Country museum is a brilliant day out if they have any interest in history and / or Peaky Blinders!
