4 years for the sycamore tree

Am I alone in thinking 4 years and 3 months is lunacy fur cutting down the sycamore tree when rapists and child abusers frequently get a whole lot less?

is this really what we as a society value more than women and children?

This is exactly what I thought when I saw it. Scumbag rapists and pedophiles walking away with fuck all yet cutting down a fucking tree gets 4 years. Really does show how unvalued women and children are

Seems overly harsh to me. Loads of ancient woodland was felled for hs2 so why people were up in arms about a solitary tree I couldn’t understand in the first place.
