...nobody I've asked can remember them! I'm getting blank faces and am wondering if I'm dreaming them up!!

Not sure if they were round or rectangular. Embossed on the front was a kind of scroll design with different county names written on the scroll - Cornwall, Yorkshire, Gloucestershire etc. Quite a buttery vanilla biscuit along the lines of a Sport biscuit but a little more short and crumbly. I'm thinking the name was Royal something or Duchy something?? Oohh - the childish excitement of having one with my County name on!! Did they ever exist?

I remember. Royal Scot biscuit. Excellent for dunking 😁

The biscuit you're likely thinking of is the Jacob's "County Biscuits".
These were a popular selection of shortbread biscuits, each individually wrapped and featuring the name of a different English county embossed on them.

There’s zero chance a ‘Scot’ would have English counties on surely

I feel like I recall these too.

Could be the Mandela effect!

I grew up on 1970s biscuits but I’m stumped on this one. Following with interest.

Malted Milks were my fav back then - I called them ‘cow biscuits’ and still do!

Wow, I don't recall them at all?! Well done you! I'm sure the OP will be chuffed!!

Sounds like Malted Milk biscuits

The County biscuits is a possibility-but i don't remember them being individually wrapped 🤔
In the light of the majority of blank faces if not the County biscuits, then I must be wishful thinking!
