Cardiac Stress Test ? BP test ? POTS test?

Ds had LVSD heart failure & PeriMyocarditis last summer. Still has Chest pain, arryythmias, (sp!), crashing fatigue. Giddy, pale. no stamina. Cold hands and feet (cold sweats even in recent heat).Lost weight. Cardiologist says 'anxiety'.

Another HCP said POTs. seated pulse was 64, BP was 125/70. Standing pulse 90 and systolic fell to 110. They diagnosed POTS. Cardiologist won't accept it.

I feel that DS should have a proper Cardiac stress test. He often has quite a high BP (today, checked his BP & pulse: at bottom of stairs it was 136/80, pulse 105. after walking up stairs - needed a rest half way, 224/87 (pulse 120) bottom of stairs again 150/77 (pulse 105). He is 20, BMI 24, no alcohol no vaping etc.

is our home stairs 'test' useful?

how can I help him? What do i ask for? Is the home 'stairs test' useful?

I have just been diagnosed with Pericarditis. Hypertension. Hypercholesteramia.
Ds also has repeated high fasting cholesterol (7.4, GP won't treat as 'too young'

I’m afraid I can’t help from experience, but was talking to a friend yesterday whose daughter has recently been diagnosed with POTS (which I’d never heard of before). She said they did a tilt table test for diagnosis, ie you lie on a table horizontal and they monitor your heart rate, BP etc as it’s turned to vertical and back down again. Perhaps you could ask for that? (Or if an option, see if one can be done privately?)

PS - my friend’s DD was also fobbed off with anxiety at first.

@YorkshireLawyerthanks x We have a POTS diagnosis (but he's still unwell even on Ivabridine). But I wonder if the BP on exertion means he should have a cardiac stress test?

I dont think it is POTS or at least not just POTS.
I think he is still experiencing (slow, mild perhaps) heart problems as his ejection fraction has dropped both sides by 10% since last summer (currently left 54%, right 47%)

I think he needs a proper stress test. I just dont' know if these figures support that or not?
