Fibroadenoma experience

I am currently waiting for a breast referral appointment date and having daily meltdowns about my lump.
Hoping it’s a cyst or similar. Never heard of fibroadenoma before the last few days , just wondered if anyone has had one and how it felt?

My lump feels firm, round/oval,slippery and moves easily between 2 fingers. It also does this strange thing that if you push it from one finger to the next, keep the pressure of the first finger down so it can’t slip back, release lump from the second finger, it slowly slips away to the side I think and when you release the pressure from first finger it pops up there again!

Sorry to ramble and thank you if you have read this far.
I’m 53 perimenopausal and lump is 1cm or possibly less.

Mobile lumps are not usually anything to worry about. Of course it has to be checked to be certain. I’ve had both fibroadenoma and breast cancer. My cancer was hard, knobbly and tethered. There was a world of difference. I hope you’re seen quickly and will be reassured.

I have had mine for 42 years. Similar description.

Never any issues with it.

🤞🤞🤞 for you, try to stay as calm as possible.

Thank you for the replies. I’ve been referred before and they were small breast cysts that just eventually disappeared, I was 41 then. I went on my own but this time partner will come with me, can partner come in the initial examination?

Stupid question but how far do they move in breast? Google had me thinking at one point they travelled around the entire breast!
