Gas canister under Webber espirit bbq

Hi, we recently purchased the Webber espirit 310 bbq and gas to go with it. On the side of the gas it says not to store under the barbecue however on the back of the menu the gas is under the barbecue. Can anyone confirm if we can use it while it's on or is that just to use when you store it after a barbecue.

Do they mean dont store it there after use?
Ours does live under the bbq but gets disconnected after use and then there's a cover that goes over the top of the bbq to protect it from the weather.
