Doing NOTHING today!!!

... and part of me is feeling. Overwhelmed because the weather is gorgous and everyone is posting fun things, but the other part of me is just too hot and wants to chill and tidy up at home!

Is there anyone else enjoying doing nothing, even on a perfectly lovely sunny day?

(I've had three lots of washing dry on my line already though so what's better than that?!?!!)

Well I was hoping to do nothing this afternoon but lie in the garden reading my book until a garden party started next door😩had a busy morning as was out and about so was hoping for some downtime until work tomorrow! Anyhoo in answer to your question you do you ! Enjoy the hopefully peace and quiet 😁

I was up early walked pups, changed the beds, done loads of washing and 2 x food shops completed for us and for DM. I’ve been sat on my butt since midday.

I've done plenty of laundry today, had a massage this morning. This afternoon has been mainly lazing in a deckchair in the shade. I have knitting, a cold drink and an audio book. It's over 30 degrees here, nothing is just right

That's not doing nothing! You've been really productive and I think that you should do exactly as you please with the rest of your day. I've washed the windows and been to get a few groceries but I'm definitely not planning on doing much else except drink lots of cool drinks and read my book. It's what sunny days are made for 🙂

Us too. Didn’t plan it and we’ve got stacks to do, but both DH and I have done sod all, all day. We even had a 2 hours nap this afternoon and were sat watching TV now. I might feel a bit cheated tomorrow when Monday rolls around, but at the moment I don’t care.

Yanbu at all. I've done precisely nothing today. I've sat on my couch, away from the burning sky, in the lovely breeze by my open window, watching the butterflies in my lilac bush, and sipped iced coffee with a good book.

Df has invited us out for dinner tonight so may take him up on the offer. May just snack on mini cheeses and cherry tomatoes.

It's really too hot for anything more energetic than that quite frankly.

Edited to add, I have plenty I should be doing, but currently doing anything more than walking to the fridge /loo results in enough sweat pouring off me to single handedly reverse a hosepipe ban, so it's not happening. I spent yesterday being damp. I will likely spend tomorrow being damp. I won't spend today being damp. Because I don't have to.

Just wanted to say how many butterflies there are at the moment! our budliea is covered and they seem to be in pairs so cute !

I've not done nothing because that's never possible but I haven't done a whole lot over the last 2 days and I'm quite happy about that.

When the weather is like this I very much enjoy lounging around in the sun. Kids are happy to not have to go anywhere too.

We will do more over the holidays but I do have some time planned where I will be doing as little as possible.

I've barely moved for the last week. I'm retired so am doing the bare minimum. I got up on Thursday fully intending to clean the bathroom, chucked some toilet duck in then decided it was too hot to bother.
My eyes and forehead are sore through sweating. I have lipodema in one leg and it's usually swollen but atm it's not going down. I look like the elephant man. I don't like it.

I'm having a lovely day doing nothing and doing it nude its just too hot

Managed to sort 5 bags of recycling! So that'll go down tomorrow, plus an old chest of drawers to go as well

Just got to vacuum and sweep my bedroom floor today and then prep books to be given away (theyve got the evil aura)

Got the tennis final on, some lemon squash with dd loudly munching on chicken thighs beside me 😭

I did one small load of washing first thing which was practical dry by the time I’d finished hanging it out! I made my own early lunch & let the family sort themselves out. I’ve mainly sat under a tree in the garden reading my book. Teenagers have joined me occasionally, they’ve put the washing away & hubby just poured me a glass of fizz. Bliss 😎

I've had a monster hangover and have spent all day in bed 😁

I’ve hung out a load of washing then sat in the house catching up on ‘And Just Like That’ (which has gone from being so bad it’s good to just a bit crap). Our garden is south facing and has zero shade so it’s only in the last hour or so that it’s clouded over that I’ve ventured to the garden to sit with a glass of Buck’s Fizz and a book.

I was properly productive yesterday and hosted a bbq for some friends. Today was always going to be a sit inside, where it’s actually a bit cooler, and do nothing day.

I've pottered at home. It's been lovely. Thinking of going for a walk on the beach once it's cooled down a bit, 8pm ish.

I spent the whole day reading in the garden, getting up occasionally to change washing over. It's not often I do nothing so it was a treat.

Laundry, watching the tennis, hanging out with my DD. What are Sundays for?
