Real or dream?

I have a vivid memory from when I was a teenager - my mum was upset because she found out she was pregnant
I honestly don't know if this really happened or it was a dream.
I have no recollection of anything after this and we've never spoke about it.
Does anyone else have something similar?

As a child I was once absolutely convinced I’d been up in a hot air balloon.

It took some convincing on the part of my grandparents to persuade me I hadn’t. It has to have been a particularly vivid dream, so much so that I believed it was real.

I’ve had a few like this in my time but am usually able to differentiate - dreams have a quality memories don’t and there’s a sense of unreality about them. On occasion the lines get blurred or I dream something that’s terrifyingly prescient.
