Also nora webster and the heather blazing..

All time favourtenis. The earth children series by Jean Auel. Starts with the clan of the cave bear.

In terms of good holiday reading specifically I would recommend None Of This Is True by Lisa Jewell or some Taylor Jenkins Reid, not her most recent one though, it wasn’t great. Go with Daisy Jones and the Six.

It would be good to know what your type of best book is to properly recommend. I’ve gone mainstream.

I like all types really. Love a bit of sci-fi - like girl with all the gifts or never let me go.
Like historical fiction too and love a bit of dystopian world fiction - think handmaid's tale or the road.
Also like classics like Rebecca.
Oh or mystery or Gothic horror. Basically I like most genres except maybe romance.
Just anything that's really stuck with you or left a big impression would be brilliant

@Whereishenow Try Annie Bot by Sierra Greer or Klara and The Sun by Ishiguro both about AI OR Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. The first two do interesting things and the third is just excellent and the film will be out next year.
