Child arachnophobia help

DS at primary. Loves most critters and handles bugs, rehydrates bumblebees, etc. He was teased badly with a spider and is now terrified of spiders (still fine with everything else). Tried to book a place on the London Zoo arachnophobia course but it is full, expensive and looks like it is mixed with adults. Any child friendly courses anywhere else? Any books or online resources that help?
many thanks.

Introduce him to the idea of jumping spiders. They're extremely cute, come in funky colours and patterns, are very small and remarkably intelligent. They will interact with you and many people keep them as pets now. Have a look on youtube for some videos. From there you can move on to conventional spiders.

I overcame my fear with jumping spiders.

Show him the videos of lucas the spider (animation) then move onto real jumping spider vids.

They are very cute. Here is my girl.
