Breaking up

Any advice on how to break up with someone

We have been dating for about six months

I have my kids all the time and realistically I just don't see it working

I find them just to controlling and not that much fun

I want to do it in a way that if we bump into each other in the street we will still say hello and talk

Any nice breakup stories that would give me hints?

i think nice break up is an oxymoron.
Prioritise you,your kids. Be polite, firm,blunt in yiur message
No platitudes about staying mates. You’re breaking up not getting a new pal

Also think about risk and safety, if he’ll kick tell him on the phone
change any passwords he knows, does he have any of your keys

We live in separate properties and there has been no sharing of things like that
