What bit did you find was the most stressful about moving house?

We are in the process of moving and I always remembered people saying that buying a house or selling a house is one of the most stressful things you can do however when I was a first time buyer and bought the house (the one im currently in) I found it alright , however now being a seller I’m too I’m finding extremely stressful.

I just wondered what Stage did you find the most stressful when selling your house?

We are at the draft contract stage and they’ve come back with questions (they have had a lot of questions from their solicitors) and we are finding we haven’t got some documents etc they are requesting, it’s only a 40 year old house with 3 previous buyers including myself and they’ve also requested a level 3 house survey which I believe to be the most detailed one and typically for older or complex houses- it all feels a bit overwhelming and feels a bit intrusive- also find the solicitors do everything over email and no phone calls etc so they’ve just forwarded the questions when they’re making reference to certain points in the contract that I’m now having to scroll through what they actually are. Please someone reassure me that this is normal and can start to see the light soon lol

That’s frustrating and normal but not as stressful as packing a moving and then unpacking!

The most awful bit for me was waiting for the exchange date snd then the completion date.

The whole UK house buying system is like a house of cards.

The survey isn’t really anything to be concern about. The conveyancer via email is frustrating so I went through a local firm so I can go the office if I need to.

Unpacking the loft and endless trips to the tip 🤦‍♀️ Our new house is a new build and we haven’t boarded out the loft so there’s nothing in there 🙌 🙌
