Black or white windows

We currently have golden oak windows which are very old and need replacing but I can’t decide out of black or white windows.
we have a semi detached which is half brick half rendered white.

any advice? Pros and cons or either. Have you chosen black and regretted it?

White.

Black will look dated before too long (and possibly fade!)

Definitely white. Black will get so dusty

I like transparent windows to be honest.

I considered black windows if we had gone for upvc. I think they look nicer in black.
Yes, they might look dated in a few years.
It wouldn't bother me though. I like the colour black for home decorations
(Weirdly though, I don't like black taps. Sorry off topic)

Black could potentially discolour in strong sunlight, so I’d go with white.

There has been a big new housing estate built not far from us and every single house has been built with black window frames - I think it looks so harsh and too striking. Your eyes are just drawn straight to the frames and nothing else.

I'd always vote for a paler colour.

White. Black look dark and depressing and will date very quickly.
