Vinted buyer - damaged in transit

I purchased an electronic swing chair recently off vinted which was damaged in transit due to poor packaging by the seller (arrived in a box with no protective packaging/cushioning) the chair didn’t run correctly and also there was a loose screw in the box which I messaged the seller about and they said the screw must be from the item somewhere.
i opened a dispute with vinted under damaged in transit and received a full refund from vinted, in which they stated I can dispose of how I feel fit.
seller has messaged again today asking me to send this back but surely I havnt got to pay for the return of this huge box myself when I am at no fault

just seeking advice, would you send back and take a small loss for the buyers lack of care in posting or just dispose of the item as vinted advised and move on?

I would not pay to return.

Tell the seller if they want to arrange and pay for the return postage they can, it has to be done outside of vinted.

Vinted will not get involved as it is no longer a live transaction.

If you don't want to send back or respond you can block the seller.

No feedback can be left as it is a cancelled transaction.

I had similar where I bought something fake off vinted. I believe the seller genuinely didn't know. She asked me to send the fake item back and I said no. Vinted told me to destroy it. It's still sat on my shelf!
