Coldplay, Craven Park stadium - possible restricted view question

I’m looking to buy a ticket for Coldplay in Halifax. There are tickets available in the Colin Hutton North Stand and the Roger Millward Stand. Some tickets state a ‘possible restricted view’. Just wondering how bad the view might be from those stands as on the map layout, I can’t work out why it might be restricted. I’m guessing the Colin Sutton North Stand might be restricted if the lighting stage might be in front of it but not sure.

If anyone has any experience of gigs here or has purchased similar possible restricted view tickets, can you share your thoughts, before I decide whether to go ahead and buy one.

thanks

It'll be to do with all their equipment and where it's positioned. Would be different for every concert as every artist will have a different stage set up. You could Google their stage set up and it might help a bit

I did google but wasn’t great so I’ve just watched some of the tour on you tube… it looks like there 4 huge lighting tower crane things. Tall but not wide! I can’t handle that, I’ll go for a side ticket!

thanks ☺️

Well first of all it’s Hull not Halifax but I can’t help you with the rest 🤣

Have you been in the view from my seat website? That’s usually helpful.

I think Coldplay is one of the first big gigs to be held at Craven Park so you'll be hard pushed to find anyone with direct experience.

The Craven Park terraces are actually quite 'flat' in comparions to more modern stadiums so if you are watching from behind the Front of House/Lighting Engineers you might find that your view is very restricted.

Ah ok SaffyWall I guessed it was a new venue for gigs. Maybe I’m better off going to Wembley then! Hmmm 🤔

thanks for the info x

I have seen the tour - there is a walkway halfway down the pitch/ arena and they come up and play on it as well as CM running around like a loon. The light show is a big part of the concert ( wrist watches) and there are big balloons released in the audience at one point. I wouldn’t miss the concert if the only option is a restricted view. It was joyous

It looks amazing!! I’m so cross with myself. I had a great ticket to see them at a local stadium in June 2023 but cba to go so I sold it on…. I’ve not forgiven myself for it 🤣🤣. Couldn’t get tickets for these Uk summer dates so know I’m paying over twice what I bought my ticket for in 2023 🤦🏻‍♀️

But life is too short to miss a gig imo. I’ve had a tough few months with no sign of it improving as yet. I can afford it and I just have to experience it! Live music is my passion anyway… so yeah… ‘buy the ticket’ 🥰🥰

It's very hard to gauge these days as artists have a bloody annoying habit of sticking viewing tents for family/VIPS in random places. We paid for what I thought were good seats at Wembley and could barely see round a black fucking tent that a load of people were standing on top of. I was quite lucky in that the stewards moved us (I was fairly vocal about my discontent!) but there's no way I could have predicted that being there so I tend to now avoid lower tiers as well. We've had restricted views before and they tend to be a side angle of the stage but Coldplay use a smaller stage as well as the main one, and have a long platform going out from the stage so I'd guess you'd be OK.

Oh I’d be pretty vocal also… I have been known to move around a little once a gig has got going and the stewards at the time never appear arsed 😬😬. It’s bizarre because some tickets have ‘restricted views’ in them which I will steer clear of. Some have ‘possibly restricted views’ and these are the ones I’m tempted by…
