Where is the best place to park for BST Hyde park on Friday?

We are going to the Neil Young show at Hyde Park on Friday. We will be driving back up to the Midlands straight afterwards as we have a wedding to attend Saturday (we would usually get the train and stay over). Where would be the best place to park? I have seen the Q Park at Hydepark is the official parking but a) it’s £57 for the afternoon/evening and B) I’m assuming it’ll be a nightmare to get off.

can anyone recommend anywhere else within walking distance where we can park. And is £57 about what we’ll pay (we’ll arrive about 4 then leave straight after)

thanks

I'd park near a train or Tube station on your drive in (e.g train into Victoria/stations on Central line/District Line/Piccadilly line) and commute the rest of the way into London. You could also look at renting a driveway near a station, on one of the various websites that advertise these.

Don't even think about parking within walking distance from Hyde Park. Quite apart from cost, traffic around there is a nightmare at the best of times less alone after a concert/festival.

I would look on JustPark for a driveway near a tube station further out.

You could park at Stanmore tube station, take the Jubilee line and walk from Baker Street to Hyde Park

Hillingdon tube station if you’re driving down on the M40, Stanmore for the M1. Either use their car parks or rent a space on a driveway nearby.

Lots of tube stations a bit further out that you could park for free, look at the picadilly line northbound. Eg from Wood Green, Bounds Green, Arnos Grove you can park and hop on the tube.

Thank you! Will the tube be an absolute nightmare? It’s a 3 hour drive home so ideally we want to be on our way asap

I would look at Just Parks near a Jubilee line station, like Stanmore. The Jubilee line runs to Bond Street which is a straightforward walk from the the exit for BST.

Tube will be fine at that time of night

Well they will probably be busy yes. You might have to wait a bit to get into the station and then onto a train and depending on what time you leave BST the platforms and trains may be a bit crowded. To a Londoner that won't seem any worse than a normal rush hour but to a visitor then yes it might be a bit uncortable. Better than driving though.

Good shout for Jubilee line stations if that works for the route you are using to come down. (I have no idea what route one drives from the midlands or indeed anywhere outside the M25!).

I'd park in the QPark on Queensway, in Bayswater. Easy walking distance, no further than walking to a tube and waiting. It's nowhere near as expensive as the Hyde park one and then you don't have to deal with park lane. Easy access to the westway and then out of London.

Cockfosters tube station. Big car park there apparently. Drive to junction 24 on the M25 and go south towards London on the A111.

We have booked this one! Thanks again everyone for your advice
