DH & I work FT and have teen DC. DH has nights out in the week, I have nights out. We like to have nights in together too. Ad-hoc things pop up in the week/weekend. We see elderly parents, take DC to activities, we have a handful of friends each and relatively small families. ... but my god do we have to coordinate diaries with each other and jointly with friends. I am currently planning into September. My e-diary is full every single month with things either planned or to do/sort/remember. Not necessarily going out out. Life never used to be this busy when DC were small/there never used to be so much going on. We are not part of school governors, scouts or anything else similar.
