Been awake since Monday

I have been awake since 6.20am Monday morning.

I did just fall asleep for just under an hour now im awake again.

I got to be up at 6.30 its driving me insane.

Can you try to get into relaxed mode somehow?
Things that work for me are night-time herbal tea, an audio book with a timer so it turns off when I drop off, deep breathing exercises.

No if I get out of bed I definitely wont sleep. I feel cosy but I just cant sleep.

Surely I will sleep soon

That doesn't sound good. I only got a few hours then woke up. If I can't sleep then I tend to watch something or just rest

This happens to me too often. A couple of weeks ago I called in sick to work at 3.45 am - I'd been awake since 5am the previous day. There was absolutely no way I could have gone to work.

If I can get an hour, I can power through.

Tonight wasn't too bad. I was asleep by 11 and woke at 3.30.

My Snoozeband helps me a lot. Not that I’m using it atm! I struggle to get to sleep then once awake in the early hours struggle to go back to sleep. Kind of a pattern now but at least I’m retired.

Are you of an age to be perimenopausal? My first sign was severe insomnia. HRT fixed it, thank God!

Kirkland's Sleep Aid works very well as a temporary fix.

Why dont you do something today for your mental health but keep busy too, read, do some gardening, go for a walk

Same here OP, my insomnia is awful. I can’t function after being awake so long. Utterly exhausted mentally and physically but still only get a hour. You have my empathy.

Ah mines only a short term thing I will get back into sleeping pretty soon. I feel for you with insomnia though I couldn't cope woth it long term. Hope you get sleep soon.
