Has anyone washed an electric throw?

I seem to remember the leaflet saying it was ok to wash it on a delicate cycle and dry flat? But surely the electric wires inside will get wet where I detach the main lead from?

if anyone has done it or has any tips I’d be grateful please

Mine has washing instructions so I’ve washed it a number of times - short wash, dry flat - it’s been fine.

its this one Mia&Coco Electric Heated Blanket... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09JKF7LDH?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Yes - I’ve washed 2 of the dreamland ones (and we’ve got the furry ones so I was worried about that too) but really no bother. Just followed instructions and was fine.

I've washed mine loads, just on a normal for me cycle.

We have an electric fitted sheet. I just wash it on a gentle, short wash and put it to dry flattish over the clothes horse lying on it's side and some garden chairs. It's been fine.

The wires have got a special coating on. I was dubious. I did mine spun it and dried flat it was fine. It dried quite quickly too. Overnight to be certain.

I washed my electric blanket the other day, you need a hot day, this week there looks like plenty of them so yes, get it washed and outside drying in the sun.

I've also washed it on the allergy setting which I think is 60 degrees. Maybe that's why it's a bit matted looking now!

You can find the instructions online, but basically I've done it on a delicate cycle and dry outside on a hot day to get it completely dry. You need to unplug the mains lead, but the little wires are fine.

I put mine on the delicate cycle and low spin, the day was about 28c so it dried easily
