Online passport troubles

Has anyone gone through the online passport renewal recently that could help?

I got my photo uploaded and was filling in all my information but then I got to the end of it, put payment through and i realised it hadn't asked for details so someone could verify my photo?

Looking online I saw something about them getting an email but I have been checking and I have nothing to forward

I only filled it in yesterday evening so i still need to post my old passport and my marriage certificate to them

Do they send it after?

unless your appearance has changed a lot you won’t need it to be countersigned. You’d have had an email if you had to.

OH recently had to renew his passport. Tried online several times but something kept going wrong so in the end got a paper form snd sent if off.

Technology is fine as long as it works.

Adult renewals often don't need the verification

I did mine a few weeks ago. As it’s a renewal it didn’t ask for the photo to be verified. Passport can about 2 weeks later.

Oh that's great news
Appearance hasn't changed much apart from being 10 years older

I only vuagley remember renewing it years ago and having to get my daughters teacher to sign my photo

I renewed my passport in December. It had expired 10 years previously, so was a 20 year old photo - I didn’t need to get verified. I think they use AI to assess the photos to tell it is the same person.

On my middle son’s renewal, it asked me for an email address to get his verified - it did this during the application process.

Sounds like you don’t need yours verifying!

Under 12s need a countersignature as standard. Over 12s/adults usually dont unless appearance has changed drastically
