I know that you’re not meant to have sex in the days preceding a smear (I haven’t) but is that because of sperm/spermicide from condoms etc potentially mucking up the sample? Or is it sexual activity generally that can do that, like mine earlier? Hoping to avoid awkward conversation with the nurse.
