Take me back to a time when I was young, slim and had zero responsibilities ... but never appreciated it

I'm 50.

I never had to diet when I rwas younger, even into my late 30s. I was so very slim and my only responsibility was to get myself up every day.
Fast forward to now .. managing a large team at work, need to bring in the money for the lifestyle we have, pay bills, run the house. If I don't suggest/book/plan/organise it then it ain't happening. If I don't get up in the morning then no one is. DH, who does his own share, DC x1 with SEN (19) x1 nuerotypical (15) v v lazy but due to a bereavement I am very lenient on him

I never appreciated how young, care free and slim I was.

I am totally fed up with the responsibility. Does it ever get any easier ?

I'm 49, DDs are 19 and 16 and I feel pretty carefree compared with when DDs were little, or the stress I felt in my 20s starting out in life, and I've just lost 25lbs taking mounjaro.

Spend time thinking about what you really want for yourself, and working on that, as in the next few years you could find you have a lot less responsibility and a lot more time on your hands. Menopause genuinely feels like a second spring, to me.

Yes please OP. Let me know when you’ve found the Time Machine, and I’m in! Utterly fed up with life over 50. It’s shit.
