First time buyers
Shown all documentation needed by estate agents
Both of us using same solicitors
Their Survey has been done on our property last week, seemed ok fella was there 15mins and say all fine

Asking as we are buying a new build with the money from sale of house, no mortgage. New build not ready till Autumn but thats fine as can find elsewhere to stay until

New build say after accepting us they need a 10% deposit 6 weeks after abd would be happy for us to purchase as long as at or nearing exchange

Hence the need to find out roughly what happens now with our sale etc.

Do your buyers have a MO?
Have their searches been carried out?
Have any enquiries been raised?

Following survey MO might be back in the next fortnight.
Searches takes 3 weeks or so but likely to raise enquiries after this.

Depends how long your solicitor takes to respond to the enquiries. But given its internal they will have similar timescales.

Seems straightforward but id say 8 weeks.

Also while EA might be happy with the documents provided the conveyancers require more documents so best to liaise with your conveyancers for more up to date information on how your transaction is purchasing.

There are so many variables that could impact the timeline. Are the people buying your house chain free? Are you in England? Are your buyers cash buyers or using a mortgage? Is the house you're selling old/likely to have any problems in the survey or the searches? How quickly do your buyers want to move?
You say you've provided estate agents with all paperwork, but your solicitor will need loads more. The surveyor will say all is fine, but will almost certainly find some things to include in the survey report.
Your buyer might have questions about things in the survey or the searches. How quickly they compile them and get them to you via your solicitor depends on how keen they are to move fast! Also depends on how good your solicitor is at keeping things moving, and how good your estate agent is at pushing the sale through as well.

Yes first time buyers with mortgage no chain
They said they wanted to move 6-12 weeks...that was 3 weeks ago.
Survey done last week
House 55 years old
Will just have to wait
