How high is your sofa?

Our current sofa is 1.5-2cm off the floor. It's a pain to clean underneath as it's quite heavy so I have to lift and balance one end on a stool and hope it doesn't fall on me! On the other hand, it hides the cables running to our speakers. We are looking to replace it and I'm considering one the vacuum would fit under but not sure if it would look messy. We've had this one for 20 odd years so I'm used to it!

How high is your sofa and would you choose the same again?

(wooden floor, no carpets if that makes a difference)

Mine is same height as yours. Certainly never an issue to clean under as I just pull it forward, why do you balance it on a stool?!

Maybe 3-4 inches? I CBA standing up to measure!

There's no way I can lift it, it's far too heavy and large; dragging it would damage the floor.

Our sofa is maybe 2 to 3 inches off the floor. Very heavy reclining corner sofa so it can't be moved. I just put the dust mop under there as far as it will go and don't worry about the bit it doesn't reach as no one can see it anyway. I am well aware when we finally move it it will be a bit manky but there is not a lot I can do about that.

We bought a new one recently and it's higher off the floor and it feels so much cleaner because I can't just quickly hoover under it

Mine has maybe a 20cm gap underneath

I wanted it for that reason, much easier to clean underneath
