That wasn’t meant to be negative - it’s just a fact. I’m not quite sure why. Maybe it will just take a bit of time to get used to women’s’ football. It’s a great thing. My DD used to be in a club & loved being in goal.

I don’t know anything about mens players personal lives, and I’m not perving over them. I watch for football and to get into a competition.

I can assure you most men dismiss women’s football and won’t watch so it has nothing to do with perving on anyone. Or lesbianism?!

why not actually learn about the players if that helps you? Our new goalie Hampton speaks sign language and has had three eye operations as a child because of her eye condition that affects depth perception. Now she’s the England goalie. How is that not impressive?? I’ve found that out today when I looked her up, there are more places to get your information than tabloids.

It’s very frustrating that they are not playing well today, but then I’ve lived several decades watching England men not playing well and I still watch them.

But football isnt just about the game, its about the players and I like to know about them

I will clarify though, as it might have read that way, that we dont want men perving over the players 😭

Just, as a woman who isnt sporty but watches, some of us watch because of the tabloid dramas the footballers bring

A bit disappointed in the lionesses tonight although France were very good. We are going to struggle now as we need to beat the Netherlands who beat Wales 3-0.

I guess the lack of responses demonstrate the general appetite for women's football. Probably because it's dull, boring and too fucking worthy.
