When is redundancy paid?

I know I can ask my company this, but I'm interested into what standard practice is.

If I get made redundant on the 15th of the month for example, is redundancy usually paid on the next normal pay day (e.g. 28th of month) or immediately on your last day of employment?

Ime it's normally paid the month after you have left .
So if you leave on the 15th of July you would get your normal pay on the 28th of July then your redundancy on the 28th of August.
Some companies can / will do it quicker so perhaps a week or two after your last pay day but it definitely won't be on the day you leave .

Mine was in my last pay check but some colleagues were in the next month's pay check as they hadn't signed paperwork as quickly as me. Think the month after leaving is more common.
