How much for new lenses?

My optician says £80 for lenses plus £80 for anti glare coating. And £240 for polarised lenses in my sunglasses. It seems a lot! DH reckons it’s average. There are websites advertising from £50, but he thinks once they add up the extras it won’t be much less.

It is true that 'cheap' online comes to quite a bit when everything is added on. Why don't you price them on line because it varies on your lense prescription.

Yeah but that price just seems mad. Specsavers says 2 for £70 so I’m worried I’m being ripped off.

I think you will find that it is a lot more than £70 in Specsavers. That will be the price for 2 Frames. Then they will add on your prescription lense, and do you want them thinner, scratch proof, sun blocking etc. all the firms are the same. The only way is to go to different opticians and get a quote for them. Once your eyes are tested, you can take your prescription to any high st. or on line optician
